The Fishery. |
| Situated in picturesque surroundings - just off the A1- between
East Linton and Haddington, Markle Fisheries provides three spring fed lochs
totaling 9.5 acres with accessible bank fishing all round. Two lochs are stocked daily with the finest quality rainbow trout, golden, brown and blue trout for fly fishing. The third loch is the coarse / bait loch which is stocked with carp, rudd, tench and crucians as well as rainbow trout.
Markle is ideal for novices whilst offering a competitive challenge for experienced anglers. Children are welcome however under 14 years must be supervised by an adult. Markle has a well earned reputation for specimen catches. StockingThe two main lochs are stocked on a daily basis with the finest quality trout for flyfishing only - species include Rainbow, brown, blue, tiger, gold and brook trout.Our other loch is a bait and coarse fishing venue stocked with trout and a variety of coarse fish including Carp, rudd, tench and crucian carp. Ideal for your family day out. |
This year Markle Fisheries got together with Mike's Tackle
Shop to provide anglers with an onsite tackle shop at the fishery. All stock
is priced at Mike's incredibly low prices. |

How to get Here.From North take A1 south of Edinburgh to Haddington ( dual carraigeway ). Carry on A1 south of Haddington for three and a half miles, look for left hand junction sign posted Markle Fisheries ( brown on white tourist sign. Follow to Markle fishery gates are clearly signedFrom the South go past East Linton for two miles until you see the tourist signs ( junction on right hand sign ) and follow signs to markle.
