HOWWOOD TROUT FISHERY
Bowfield Road, Howwood, Renfrewshire, PA9 1DG

Howwood Trout Fishery

The Fishery.

Howwood is a natural 9 acre loch with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.

Large numbers of natural insects and flies make the loch superb for dry fly and nymph fishing. There are four boats available for hire plus a float tube for the more adventurous and anglers can also use their own float tubes.
Clubs and Corporates are most welcome and with prior notice can book the loch for their exclusive use, with buffet lunch (hot or cold) being provided, if required.

Local accommodation can also be advised and arranged.

Stocking

The loch is stocked daily with fully finned, hard fighting rainbows from 1½ lb to 22 lb, brown trout to 10½ lb and blue trout to 5 lb.

Facilities.

The facilities include a comfortable and friendly fishing lodge where tea, coffee, sweets and cold drinks are available, a toilet, partial disabled access, tuition, rod and float tube hire. We also have a fully stocked tackle shop with a large range of flies, lines, rods, reels and outfits available.

Fishing tuition is available from our qualified instructor by prior appointment. During the summer months we can get booked up with clubs at the weekends, so it is always best to call the Fishery first.
