The Fishery.

Located within Gartmorn Dam Country Park with its splendid walks and scenic views of the Ochil Hills, this well-established fishery offers excellent fishing for brown and Rainbow trout. The water is 167 acres and is ideal for novice and experienced anglers alike.

Starting from the opening day of 2006 season Gartmorn Dam will commence its Back to Brown Trout program which will return the fishery to a Brown Trout only water over the next few seasons.

The water is well stocked with Brown and Rainbow Trout, with many fish in double weight being recorded.

Fly-fishing only is allowed from 9 boats, taking between one and three anglers each, with fly and spinning from the shoreline.

For the first time there will be bait fishing allowed from the headwall area of the water.

Facilities.

The visitor centre is open throughout the season offering: Toilet facilities. Drinks and Snacks. A small amount of fishing tackle. Free Parking.

All boats must be pre-booked and are £8:00 per session and come with an outboard motor. Junior anglers must be accompanied by an adult angler.
