Burns Trout Fishery

The Fishery.

The fishery is set deep in the heart of Burn’s country amidst unspoiled land full of character and charm. The loch is located in a peaceful and tranquil setting on the edge of the village of Tarbolton.

Depending on the type of fishing preferred there are four lochs.

The Main Loch is fly-fishing only and the Triangle Loch is for both bait and bank with each activity restricted to specific areas.
The Small Loch is used purely for catch and release and in front of the lodge is the large Bait Pond.

Stocking

The lochs are stocked on a weekly basis with rainbows and brown trout with an average size of 1.5 to 2lbs including a reasonable head of larger fish into double figures

Facilities.

There is a small lodge that provides warm drinks and snack items, there is ample parking and good disabled access to most parts of the lochs. There are also toilet facilities. Club and corporate bookings are catered for and for further details please contact the fishery

Permit costs & bookings.

Fly Pond.

Any 4 hours up to 5pm. £10.00 for 2 fish then catch and release.

Full Day. 9am until 5pm £15.00 for 4 fish then catch and release.

Evening Session. 5pm until dusk. £10.00 for 2 fish then catch and release.

Concessions/Child

Full Day: 9am - 5pm £8.00 2 fish then catch and release.

Evening session: 5pm - Dusk £8.00 2 fish limit then catch and release.

Catch&Release.

Full Day. 9am - 5pm £10.00.

Any 4 hours up to 5pm £6.00.

Evening session 5pm - Dusk £6.00

Burns Junior Open

Bait Pond.

Any 4 hours up to 5pm. £10.00 for 2 fish.

Full Day. 9am until 5pm. £15.00 for 4 fish.

Evening Session. 5pm until dusk. £10.00 for 2 fish.

Full Day 9am - 5pm £8.00 2 fish.
